| Jim Rogers, younger son of Will Rogers, was present for Will Rogers Day in 1993, an annual celebration in Claremore, Oklahoma, to honor Oklahoma's favorite son and the namesake of our high school. Dick Risk visited with him during the day at Will's birthplace, a ranch near Oologah, a few miles from Claremore. That evening, Dick was joined by Kaye Glanz Smith to attend the festivities at the Will Rogers Memorial in Claremore. |
