About our headquarters for the 2012 Reunion June 8-9, 2012
Located in the heart of Tulsa, The Campbell Hotel (originally The Casa Loma Hotel) is one of Tulsa’s most
magnificent jewels with 26 uniquely themed rooms. Many of Wilson Jr. High alum's will remember this shopping
center on 11th street near the school and across from the Royal Theatre (torn down in 2010 by Bama Pie).
The 2-story, block long, brick structure that was built as The Max Campbell Building was in very poor
condition, open to the weather in several places where the roof was gone, and pigeons were nesting in the
building. Knowing that this would be a great project to revitalize the community, the project began the fall of
2009. It was important to preserve the architecture and flavor of building.
Originally built in 1927, The Casa Loma Hotel resided in The Max Campbell Building and was conveniently
located on the trolley route, which ran from downtown Tulsa to Delaware Avenue on 11th Street and Historic
Route 66. It was built during the Spanish colonial revival with the characteristics being light brown brick, tiled
roof, terra-cotta ornamentation and shaped parapets. The hotel upstairs, also housed a long list of
businesses on the street level such as a barber shop, beauty shop, Burkhart Office Supplies, Crawford Drug
Store, Ben Franklin, TGY, Boston Day & Night Cleaners and Safeway, plus many small businesses over the
years. The Casa Loma Hotel consisted of 36 rooms located upstairs with access only from a grand stairway.
Today, The Campbell Hotel is an attraction in Tulsa worth visiting. Having been selected as the 2011 Designer
Showcase location, benefiting The Foundation for Tulsa Schools. The building is now listed on the National
Register of Historic Places.
Opening July 1, 2011, there is a 4,000 square foot event center, conference room on the second level, hotel
salon and spa, and gift shop.

Reunion 2012
We are taking over the entire newly
redecorated Hotel Campbell, formally
the Hotel Casa Loma for our reunion
festivities. This Hotel built in 1927
and on the National Historic Register
has been completely modernized
and redecorated this year. The Hotel
was the home of the 2011 Designer
Showcase with each of the 26 rooms
decorated by a different designer.
The Hotel is located on East 11th
Street across from the former site of
the Royal Movie Theatre that many
of us were familiar with. Friday
night's festivities will be held in the
hotel's new event center. Saturday
night will feature a cookout at Tulsa
Country Club.
