Kevin Burr, the principal at Will Rogers High School, has
created a tour program, conducted by student docents,
opening to the general public this Art Deco treasure, built
during the Great Depression in 1937-39 and housing a
collection of photos of the school's namesake. Kristina
Vassella, the school's drama teacher and stage technical
director, coordinates the program. This new program was
suggested and promoted by Steve Wright, '56, and Dick
Risk, '59.
